About Burkhart Pizzanelli

Our Story

At Burkhart Pizzanelli, we are committed to partnering with our clients, the community and our team members to impact the world and achieve success. Founded in 1986 by Richard Burkhart and Salvatore Pizzanelli, the firm has grown into a full-service accounting, tax and consulting firm. While the firm continues to grow, we never lose sight of our core values.

Our culture is one of accountability, collaboration, honesty, mutual respect, and trust. We are committed to providing close, personal attention to each and every client. We believe that the foundation for any success starts with relationship building. We take time to really get to know our clients and learn about their business and their goals. Our commitment to the community is just as important as our commitment to our clients. We partner with various local organizations and give back to the community in any way we can. This is made possible by employing and retaining talented and caring individuals who take personal ownership of clients’ needs as well as take pride in their community and the well being of others.

Every three years, the firm participates in a practice monitoring program (peer review) relative to its accounting and auditing practice. As a result of such peer reviews, firms may receive a rating of pass, pass with deficiencies or fail. The firm is proud to announce that the last review conducted in August 2021 resulted in a pass rating.

Community Involvement

At Burkhart Pizzanelli our commitment to the community is just as important as our commitment to our clients and employees. Many members of our team are associated with local organizations in various capacities, including board membership, advising and volunteering. We seek out team members who are actively involved with community organizations. The below organizations are some of the not for profits that we partner with throughout the year. Involvement in the community is a way to participate in meaningful activities to make a difference in our lives, our community, and the world.
